I recently was gifted a book titled: ‘101 Gangster Movies You Must See Before You Die’. Over the next year or more, I will be working my way through the entire book, watching 101 gangster movies simply because I clearly have nothing better to do. I will do a series where, on here, I will give a quick 5-minute summary of my thoughts (not a full review) and telling you how I felt about that movie. The book starts in the early age of cinema in the 1910’s and goes through each decade so this is gonna be fun…
5. The Racket ~ 1928 (U.S.)
This one didn’t have much going for it. There wasn’t the charm of Underworld, nor the range of great characters, and it’s a great letdown after the previous film I saw. But still definitely not the worst one.
